The overarching concept of the Network on the Coordination and Harmonization of European Occupational Cohorts (OMEGA-NET) is to create a network to optimize the use of occupational, industrial, and population cohorts at the European level. OMEGA-NET will advance i) collaboration of existing cohorts, with extensive contemporary information on employment and occupational exposures, ii) coordination and harmonization of occupational exposure assessment efforts, and iii) facilitation of an integrated research strategy for occupational health in Europe.

Completed Projects

From an occupational safety and health perspective, this project researches how current aspects of the changing working life can affect health, work ability and work participation among older workers. The focus is on the following topics: digitalisation and flexibility of work, maintaining employability by changing work tasks, as well as participation through jobdesign in order to maintain health and work ability.

The findings will be made available to professionals responsible for workplace prevention and design and for the public as well as the scientific community.
